The owners and staff members of Hector Building Supplies would like to thank everyone who came out to support our yard sale and barbeque on July 25th. We had a huge turnout and would like to inform the community that our barbeque was a great success. As many of you know, 100% of the proceeds raised from the barbeque went to Kidsport. With help from Timberkids and the wonderful people who stopped by for a bite to eat, we were able to raise $260 to help out our local athletes.
Organized sports are a great way to help kids develop socially and become active and accomplished members of society, but as we all know, the cost of equipment, travel and fees, are often hard to manage. “One-third of Canadian parents with children under the age of 18 have been unable to register their children in organized sports due to expenses.” Kidsport is an incredible program that dedicates itself to helping children all over Canada receive the help they need with getting involved in sports.
