Funds will be used to help provide a new program – Artist as Entrepreneur Pilot Project: Providing Marginalized Youth Toolkits for Success Artist as Entrepreneur is devised to use arts based activities to provide hands on experience in the entrepreneurial process, including business plan development, marketing and product/service delivery as well as develop skills in project planning, communications, self-promotion and financial planning. Another important area of development will be an opportunity to both explore and put into practice the basics of social enterprise. This will provide an opportunity for local children and youth participating in local performing and visual arts as well as other interested youth, to learn about and experience being both an artist and entrepreneur.
